On April 24, 2020, in honor of National Poetry Month, Syracuse University alumnus Mickey Mahan, the Flying Busman, read and discussed his poems inspired by driving the Centro bus in Syracuse, New York.
For more than two decades, the people and places surrounding Centro bus-driver Mickey Mahan, have settled into his poems, giving us unique glimpses of what it is like to drive a bus in the city of Syracuse. Known for his cheerful countenance, boundless enthusiasm, and sharp wit, Mickey reads a selection of his poetry for us. This virtual event held on Zoom concluded the two-year long Landscape Studies Interdisciplinary Faculty Seminar.
