Sascha Scott is an associate professor of art history at Syracuse University. She has published a book and numerous articles about representations of Native peoples by both Native and non-Native artists in Art Bulletin, American Art, and Arts. She is currently working on two book projects. One critically resituates the work of Georgia O’Keeffe within contexts of cultural colonialism, ecological imperialism, and wartime technological disruptions. The other is about modern Pueblo painting, colonialism, and Indigenous visual sovereignty.
